About
Imagine your typical Great Lakes ski resort, and multiply it by 4 and that's the size of Lutsen Mountain on beautiful Lake Superior. With 1088 ft. of elevation, 900 ft. of vertical drop and the region's only gondola. The mountains have 90 trails running up to a distance of .8 miles, featuring 60 acres of tree skiing and four progression terrain park areas. Lutsen is spread across 4 peaks: Moose, Eagle, Ullr and Mysery Mountain and all of the trails and mountains are interconnected through the lift system. Not only is there a vast array of difficulty levels present here, there is variety within the variety as each level offers a robust choice of runs, beginning to expert. Downhill aside, beautiful cross country trails are on site. Lodging, rentals, ski lessons, snowboard lessons and kids programs are offered here.
